Job Summary:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) assists individuals living with intellectual disabilities within their community with a focus on individual preferences and personal growth and provide supports to people in their homes and in the community.

What will you bring to the role?
What our employees do daily will vary depending on the personal goals and interests of the person or people they are assisting. Some things you could do in your role of a Direct Support Professional include;
- Assistance to develop lasting friendships with neighbors, peers and others
- Providing people with information to make their own choices
- Assisting people through difficult life situations
- Attending professional appointments
What you need:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- No experience needed,
- The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is necessary
- The ability to multitask, problem-solve and take initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to maintain integrity in all situations
Applicants must be available to work Weekends (Saturday/Sunday)
Salary: $17.96-$19.21 per hour
The successful applicant will be asked to provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and both a Child and Adult Abuse Registry check upon hire at their own expense (in light of long processing times for these checks we encourage applicants to apply early – this will reduce wait time to begin employment).
