Employee Spotlight – Chelsea Malo
Our Employee Spotlight highlights the exceptional commitment and hard work of our team members who tirelessly cultivate a culture of inclusivity, promote self-advocacy, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.
We are excited to introduce Chelsea Malo, who will serve as our Mental Health Capacity Builder for the Bridging the Gap initiative. Chelsea is set to play an essential role in assisting individuals facing mental health challenges, particularly those navigating the obstacles associated with their #Disabilities. In collaboration with mental health professionals, Chelsea will provide comprehensive care for individuals with both disabilities and mental health issues. She will tackle a range of concerns, including #stress, #anxiety, and #depression, by offering one-on-one counseling, group therapy sessions, and workshops designed to help individuals cultivate coping strategies and enhance resilience. Chelsea will be instrumental in guiding individuals at the intersection of mental health and disabilities. By delivering vital support and resources, she will empower those she serves to lead healthier lives while alleviating some of the pressures on the healthcare system.
A heartfelt thank you to our primary funding partner, The Winnipeg Foundation, for believing in this initiative and for recognizing that everyone deserves access to mental health support!
“Embracing mental health has always been at the heart of my journey, and this new opportunity will enable me to extend my reach, fostering stronger connections, and empowering individuals to lead lives filled with purpose and meaning.” – Chelsea Malo
