Employee Spotlight -Adriana Sinc

It’s Direct Support Professional Recognition Week, and today we spotlight Adriana Sinc. 

For the past ten years, Adriana has been dedicated to her role as a Direct Support Professional with Epic Opportunities.Through her extensive knowledge and experience, Adriana is committed to helping those she serves live their best lives. She is dedicated to providing holistic, person-centered support and advocates for individuals to become self-advocates. Additionally, she plays a vital role in training new staff and contributing fresh ideas to the team. Recognized for her dependability, trustworthiness, and adaptability, Adriana is a highly valued member of the Epic Opportunities team.

Here is Adriana’s reflection on working for Epic Opportunities:

“As a DSP, I have the privilege to build relationships with the individuals we support. We share laughter, sorrows, and accomplishments together. While we are in each other’s lives, we are a community. Being there for and trying to understand someone with intellectual or physical disabilities is vital to the health of our communities. To me, DSPs are like buffers that can help. We play a vital role in bringing understanding and facilitate communication in many circumstances.

Being a DSP is a way to serve, contribute, and give back to our communities. It helps break down negative labels and be more inclusive. I’m constantly inspired by how everyone, from my colleagues to those we assist, has impacted my life in such positive ways.”
