Genny has been a vital member of the Epic Opportunities team for nearly three years, inspiring and participating in activities to create inclusive experiences. Her integrity builds trust among colleagues and those she serves. As a passionate advocate for inclusion, she seeks diverse opportunities for community connections. Genny’s joy and laughter brighten the workplace, and she celebrates achievements and birthdays, fostering a culture of recognition. She consistently exceeds expectations, making a significant positive impact daily.

Here is Genny’s reflection on working for Epic Opportunities:

“I believe DSPs perform one of the most important roles and it’s truly fulfilling. As support workers, we act as partners to the people we serve and help them achieve their goals and live independently. We also work hard to access communities where they are given equal opportunities, contribute to the community, do activities, build confidence, relationships and belongingness.

Making a difference in the lives of the people we support is what I love most about being a DSP. When you have form a deep connection with someone, supporting them becomes even more meaningful. It’s not only about participating in activities within the community; it’s also about uncovering opportunities to help individuals shine. Everyone deserves this, and it makes my experience incredibly rewarding.”
