Embracing Dreams: Lisa’s Journey
Meet Lisa, an amazing self-advocate whom Epic Opportunities is proud to support. As part of our Dare to Dream campaign, we were inspired by Lisa’s goal of becoming a script supervisor. In partnership with Manitoba Theatre for Young People (MTYP), she had the chance to shadow the script supervisor during the production of Billie and the Moon.
This partnership was not just a professional endeavor; it symbolized a dream realized and a significant personal growth journey for Lisa, who, like many individuals with disabilities, often encounters obstacles. Every contribution to the Dare to Dream campaign plays a vital role in making dreams a reality for those we serve. This could mean providing a secure place to call home, creating mental wellness support, or helping someone pursue their aspiration of becoming a script supervisor, like Lisa. Each dream is unique, but everyone’s dream holds significance—and when we say everyone, we truly mean everyone!
