- Epic Endeavours
- Epic Homes
One significant initiative within Epic Endeavours is the Bridging the Gap mental health program. This program aims to improve access to mental health resources for individuals with disabilities. Now in its second year, it has already made a substantial difference, providing vital support for mental health. The initiative not only challenges stigma and promotes understanding, but it also addresses financial obstacles while tailoring therapeutic approaches to accommodate diverse communication styles and physical abilities—an often-overlooked aspect of this field. In recognition of its impactful work, as Garth has seen first-hand through his daughter Lisa, the Manness Family Foundation is committing to a contribution of $60,000.00 over three years to support its ongoing efforts. “I want to help ensure that this excellent program can continue and will reach as many of the individuals that access Epic’s services as possible,” Garth Manness stated.
Furthermore, Garth is committing an additional $20,000 annually for the next 3 year to support the campaign and other vital initiatives, including the Epic Home Fund. This fund is dedicated to securing nurturing, safe, and stable living conditions, allowing individuals to age without the anxiety of displacement. He warmly invites the community to take part in this effort, as there has never been a more crucial moment to demonstrate kindness and generosity.
“Lisa’s mother, Linda, was an unwavering advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” stated Ruby Reimer, Executive Director at Epic Opportunities. “Though she is no longer here with us, her passion continues to inspire our team at Epic Opportunities. Garth has carried on this crucial mission, and his commitment to the Dare to Dream campaign truly makes him a Community Champion. We are grateful to Garth for believing in this important work and for standing with us. His generosity transforms dreams into reality and nurtures a community where everyone is genuinely valued.”
If you’re thinking about making a year-end donation, we encourage you to join Garth in supporting the Epic Opportunities Foundation’s Dare to Dream campaign. While we may occasionally overlook it, we ALL deserve the opportunity to have a home, access mental health support, and most importantly, dream!
